Top Tourist Places to visit in Coorg

Coorg is the most famous hill stations in Karnataka. It is also one of the top destinations of Karnataka TourismKodagu is rated as one of the top hill station destinations in India. Some of the most popular tourist attractions in Kodagu include Talakaveri, Bhagamandala, Nisargadhama, Abbey Falls, Dubare, Nagarahole National Park, Iruppu Falls, and the Tibetan Buddhist Golden Temple. 

          Coorg is also famous for trekking activities with peaks like Thandiyandamole, Brahmagiri and Pushpagiri. Elephant rides at Dubare Elephant camp and white water rafting in Upper Barapole River are other interesting things to do in Madikeri.

Abbey Falls

Abbey Falls or Abbi Falls is a wonderful waterfall situated amidst the mountains of Western Ghats in Coorg. This falls is one of the best places to visit in Coorg and it is also one of the most visited waterfalls near Bangalore.


Dubare Elephant Camp

Dubare Elephant Camp is an elephant training center situated on the banks of the river Cauvery in the district of Kodagu, Karnataka. It is an important base for the Karnataka Forest Department's elephants. Dubare elephant camp is a project undertaken by forest department and jungle lodges & resorts. It also offers river rafting facilities in River Cauvery. Dubare is one of the most famous places to visit in Coorg. 


Cauvery Nisargadhama

Cauvery Nisargadhama is an island formed by the River Cauvery. This man-made island was built in 1988 and is spread over a sprawling 35-acre land. It is one of the most scenic places in Coorg and famous picnic spot for families.


Golden Temple - BylaKuppe

The Golden Temple or Namdroling Monastery is a beautiful Buddhist Monastery situated at Bylakuppe. It is one of the most popular tourist places to visit in Coorg. Bylakuppe is the second largest Tibetans settlement in India after Dharamshala.


TalaCauvery

Talacauvery is a beautiful place and the origin of the Cauvery River. It is situated on the slopes of the Brahmagiri mountain ranges near Bhagamandala at an altitude of 1276 m above the sea level. It is one of the prime attractions of Coorg region.


Mallali Falls

Mallali Falls is a magnificent falls in the foothills of Pushpagiri hills. It is a famous waterfall in Kodagu with a height of 120 feet. It is one of the most scenic waterfalls in Karnataka.


Iruppu Falls

ruppu Falls is a magnificent waterfalls situated in Brahmagiri Hills between Srimangala & Kutta in Coorg district of Karnataka State, bordering the Wayanad district of Kerala. It is one of the best waterfalls in Karnataka and also one of the well known Karnataka tourist places.


Nagarhole National Park

Nagarhole National Park is one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in South India. Also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park, it is spread across Mysore and Kodagu districts in Karnataka.
