Vizag Tourist Places

Visakhapatnam (nicknamed Vizag) is the largest city, both in terms of area and population in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is located on the coast of Bay of Bengal in the north eastern region of the state. It is the administrative headquarters of Visakhapatnam district and also the Financial Capital of Andhra Pradesh. It is also one of the main attraction of Andhra Pradesh Tourism.

The city is home for several beaches along the Bay of Bengal coast, scenic hills, valleys and caves. Rushikonda Beach, Ramakrishna Mission Beach, Yarada Beach, Submarine Museum, Lighthouse, Kailasagiri hill park, Venkateswara Temple, VUDA Park and Bheemili Beach are important tourist places. Simhachalam, ISKON temple, Araku Valley, Anantagiri Hills and Borra Caves are the nearby attractions to Vizag. The best time to visit Vizag is from November to February. Usually it takes 2-3 days to visit all the places in and around Vizag.
